My Love

After a long day's work and a really bad traffic, where everyone's at war with each other, it's almost an achievement to get back home. You’re tired, sweaty, irritated & finally you are at home. You cannot but wait to have a cold shower & lay flat on that warm and cosy bed of yours but out of nowhere she jumps on to you and puts you on the floor and licks you until you suffocate. That's my dog Caesar for you!!

She is the most lovable and adorable pup that I have ever come across. Well doctors have a problem with her gender; they just can't figure it out. But that doesn't stop her from loving me and being there for me at all times.

I love Caesar and Caesar loves me or at least my long and thin bony hands I guess! She just won't stop chewing them. She loves to play around the house, a real disaster when it comes to plants and mud and pots! She wonders what’s wrong every time I weep while watching a movie and she sweetly licks off the tears from my face to let me know that it’s alright and there’s nothing to worry. We cuddle together till late in the morning unless one of us can no more tolerate our hunger. It is then followed by a long walk with a few pit stops here and there.

She's the bravest dog, although tiny made, she enjoys barking and attacking dogs that are at least 4 times bigger, taller & stronger than her. Guess the big ones don't mind it either cause they just let her be. She’s a great listener. We share or rather I bombard her with all of my thoughts while she listens to me devotedly with the hope of getting a treat at the end of the discussion.

Watching Caesar play brings back the kid that I was once, that innocence that I had had, all of which can only be reminded to me by her. Rolling on the floor, chasing her from door to door, to just watch her do her thing, gives me the joy of being alive. It's true. They are the most innocent beings who can never know of anything else but Love!

No matter how late I am running from work, or how hungry and angry she is, she never fails to sit by the door and wait for me to get back home. Her bark giving me the assurance that she's glad to see me and her drool over my clothes to let me know that it's high time I feed her. I cannot help but notice a smile on my face and an ease in my heart at that moment, when we both roll on the floor and act like two little kids playing with each other and having some fun.

My personal stress buster, my fitness pal, my regular dinner date, my best friend and the love of my life, Caesar, who continues to win my heart everyday and to whom I would happily give my life for, any day! But like the saying goes, that “All good things come to an end”, this had to end as well!

It’s been two years now and I still feel the same for her, although Caesar has moved on. Hoping that she’s now in a better place and happier than I could have ever made her feel. You come across a lot of individuals who make a mark in your life either for good or bad. You learn from the bad and you inculcate from the good. With Caesar it has been the latter, to always spread the joy, be there for each other and to love unconditionally!

Damn!!

I think one of my pots broke, got to go. I’m sure it’s Romie making a mess again!! Traces of her mum seems to be there in her as well, couldn’t have asked for more. Yep, this is Caesar’s pup and a beginning of a whole new chapter in our lives. ROMIE!!!
